Our South Suburban Chicago Chapter holiday party, “Silver Bells: A Holiday Tradition” was held on December 7, 2019 at Georgios Banquets in Orland Park, Illinois. The committee members did an outstanding job from the décor, to the food and entertainment. Special kudos to Committee Chairs, Michelle Lee and Gigi Hinton-Gresham.
Families enjoyed a fun-filled afternoon with entertainment for all ages. An outstanding jazz ensemble provided the music for the luncheon with a mesmerizing performance by a local magician. Afterwards we moved to the “Fun Zone” where the activity was non-stop. With a caricature artist, balloon artist, DJ and even salsa dance lessons, there was fun for every age. Activity stations were spread throughout the room with activities ranging from hot cocoa jars to “Minute to win it” games. The professional photographer was available for family portraits and holiday cards. Mr. and Mrs. Claus oversaw the festivities.
Over 200 individuals attended and also provided new books, which were donated to the Boys and Girls Club of Ford Heights. Our holiday season was kicked off in style!
